This Loft Self Leveling Overlay project was done in Boston, Massachusetts 02114.
The Concrete Flooring had major moisture damage issues. The hardwood warped, and once the substrate was seen underneath, it was a nightmare. The floor was full of large divots, cracking, that needed epoxy resin. The worst part was the floor could not be diamond grinded. There were issues of asbestos, and layers of other materials. The Concrete Floor was also very off level. To get a economical solution for the client. Pink’s Concrete Design first cleaned the entire concrete surface with a bio degradable degreaser. All divots were filled with Mapei Quick patch. Pink’s then used The Perfect Primer. It is one of the best products in the industry. It encapsulates the floor without the need to grind. It bonds to all materials, Concrete, wood, adhesives, metal,and glues. The project was 524 square feet. So 2 coats of the Perfect Primer was exactly what was needed.
Once the primer dried in 24 hours. Pink’s Concrete Design applied a Self leveling Underlayment to level the floor, and give a smooth surface for the hardwood flooring company to come back and install without any major work. The project took a total of 2 days and the Hardwood company was back on the floor on the third day. Pink’s charged 6 dollars per square foot for the entire project. The project was a complete success, and the client was again able to utilize their loft space.
